Welcome to the Hyper Bullet wiki — an unofficial fan wiki for the free Meta Quest game by Protostar. Hyper Bullet is a fast-paced, roguelike target shooter that blends flow-state gunplay with the satisfying tactics of crafting a perfectly destructive build. Every Wave is 30 seconds of pure, focused intensity followed by meaningful choices that shape your entire climb — small decisions snowball into massive score explosions.

This wiki is written for players: how to play, what every Target, Tool, Mod, Augment, and Curse does, and how to chase the ultimate score-attack run. It documents build 1.0.1 (build 13063) — the game's 1.0 full release — and is not affiliated with Protostar.

Quick tips

  • Every Target is worth 10 base points. Score resolves in a fixed order: base + Red ADD Mods, then × Blue MULTIPLY, then × your live Combo.
  • Stack ADDs and multipliers. Every point you add gets multiplied, so a fat ADD base makes each multiplier and Combo point worth far more. It's automatic — you don't need to arrange reds before blues; placement only matters for the neighbour/empty-slot Mods.
  • A miss resets your Combo, wiping the multiplier on every Target after it — the most expensive mistake in the game. Combo Saves absorb one break.
  • Point your Tool down to reload — there's no button. Reload early and often so you never waste seconds of the 30-second clock.
  • Buy the same Mod again to raise its level. A focused 3-4 high-level build beats 10 scattered level-1 Mods.
  • Push your Mods past the level-5 cap with Super Sockets (level a single slot) and the buff Hacks (level a whole category) — the long-lasting, run-wide picks you earn on the Monolith instead of buying.
  • Shoot Glitches on sight for Coins, score, time, Tokens, and the rare extra-life Heart — but NEVER the Bomb Glitch, which penalizes you.
  • Critical Scope gives Targets a 20% chance to double their total score, making it the safest pick that scales with any build.
  • Take Curses early so the bonus Coins snowball into a stronger build — but skip Cupid and Ka-Boom! late in a run.
  • Leaderboards are split per Tool and per difficulty (Global + Friends), with a separate Endless board — to climb a specific board you have to run that specific Tool.
